Kimi Extra Usage Rules

Effective Date: July 3, 2026

Welcome to Kimi. These Extra Usage Rules (hereinafter referred to as “these Rules”) constitute a supplementary agreement to the Kimi User Agreement, the Kimi Paid Services Agreement, and the Kimi Privacy Policy (collectively, “the Agreements”). Matters not addressed in these Rules shall be governed by the Agreements.

Before purchasing Extra Usage, you shall read these Rules carefully, Especially the provisions regarding “Consumption Priority”, “Refunds Policy” and “Limitation of Liability” and other material terms highlighted in bold.

By clicking “Pay and enable” or completing a payment, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to these Rules in their entirety. If you do not agree, please stop the recharge process immediately.

1. Nature of Extra Usage

Extra Usage is a digital virtual product offered exclusively to Kimi subscribers as a supplementary credit service. When your subscription credit is exhausted, you may purchase Extra Usage to continue accessing the Platform’s and its related products, services and features collectively, the “Services”. Funds you deposit shall be credited to your Current Balance and may be applied toward the use of the Services. Your balance is displayed in RMB, and consumption shall be deducted based on actual usage and the applicable billing rates.

Extra Usage does not possess monetary attributes, does not carry the purchasing power of legal tender, and may not be circulated outside the Kimi Platform.

2. Activation and Recharge

2.1 Subscriber-Only

Extra Usage is available exclusively to Kimi subscribers. You shall maintain an active Kimi subscription to access the Extra Usage recharge function. Non-subscribers may continue to consume existing Extra Usage balance until depleted.

2.2 Validity

Extra Usage funds do not expire. You may use your balance at any time, and any unused balance shall remain in your account.

If your subscription lapses, your balance shall remain in your account and may continue to be used to access Platform services. However, you shall not be able to make new recharges until you reactivate your Kimi subscription.

2.3 Recharge Limits

You may select from the system-provided recharge amount options, or set a custom recharge amount. To ensure account security and fair use, the following recharge limits shall apply:

Minimum single recharge: 25 RMB;
Maximum 10 recharges per day;
Daily cumulative recharge limit: 3,000 RMB;
Balance cap: 10,000 RMB. When your balance approaches this cap, further recharges will be restricted until your balance falls below the cap;
Monthly Spending Cap: This feature is disabled by default. You may enable it and set a monthly spending cap amount, which must exceed the minimum single recharge amount. Once enabled, the system will pause Extra Usage consumption for the month when your monthly spending reaches the cap.

3. Credit Consumption and Billing

3.1 Consumption Priority

When you use the Services, the system shall prioritize the deduction of credits with the shortest remaining validity period. If multiple types of credits share the same expiration date or have no specified expiration, the credits would be deducted in the following order: gifted usage counts, gifted credit, subscription credit, and Extra Usage balance. Extra Usage balance carries no expiration date and shall remain in your account indefinitely. The system shall deduct from your Extra Usage balance only after all aforementioned time-limited credits have been exhausted.

You can view balances and usage breakdowns for all types of credits on your subscription page. The Platform reserves the right to modify the above deduction sequence as needed for operational requirements, user rights protection, or product strategy adjustments. In the event of any changes, we will notify you via in-app notifications, email, or other appropriate means.

3.2 Billing Rules

You acknowledge that different tasks and models may incur different charges, and all deductions shall be based on actual consumption. For example:

Recommend a great rock song. — approximately 0.03 RMB;
Plan a week-long road trip itinerary from Chengdu to Western Sichuan, covering Kangding, Zheduo Mountain, and the Mount Gongga area, with daily schedules, altitude reminders, and restaurant recommendations. — approximately 1.6 RMB.

Specific billing rates are subject to the information displayed on the Platform.

4. Subscription Status and Balance Management

You may disable Extra Usage at any time on the Settings page. Upon disabling, your balance shall remain in your account, but the system shall pause deducting from your Extra Usage credit. You may re-enable Extra Usage at any time without additional steps or fees.

5. Refund Policy

Extra Usage is a prepaid virtual product. To maintain transaction security and prevent money laundering and fraudulent activity, recharges are generally non-refundable and non-transferable, and may not be exchanged for cash. You acknowledge that you shall carefully evaluate your needs before recharging.

6. Limitation of Liability

THE PLATFORM AND EXTRA USAGE ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS. Due to current technological limitations, the services involve inherent complexity and unpredictability. Please read and accept this disclaimer before use:

THE PLATFORM DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICES WILL ACHIEVE YOUR EXPECTED SPECIFIC RESULTS. Output quality depends on input quality, task complexity, model capability boundaries, and other factors. You acknowledge that you shall use Extra Usage with reasonable expectations.

The Platform reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to update, modify, change billing rules of, or suspend or terminate the Extra Usage service at any time.

7. Miscellaneous

Any dispute arising from or relating to these Rules shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation between you and Moonshot AI. You may contact us at [email protected].

If any provision of these Rules is held invalid, ineffective, or unenforceable, such provision shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions of these Rules.
