Will my conversation data be used for model training?

Provided that the data is processed with secure encryption technology, strictly de-identified, and cannot be re-identified to a specific individual, the platform may use users' input data, instructions, and generated responses for model training to optimize model performance and product experience.

How do I opt out of model training?

If you do not want your conversation data to be used for training, you can contact customer support at [email protected] and submit a request. We will complete the opt-out registration within 5-7 working days after verifying your identity, and will stop using your content for model training.

What happens after I opt out of model training?

• Account-level opt-out: Per-conversation or per-file opt-out is not currently supported.
• No impact on usage: Opting out does not affect your continued access to all Kimi services. Your account, membership benefits, and conversation history remain unchanged.
• Scope: Once registration is complete, neither your historical conversation data nor any newly generated data will be included in the model training dataset.

Is my data shared with third parties?

Without your consent, a legal requirement, or the necessity to provide product features, we do not share, sell, or provide your personal conversation data to any third party (including affiliates, partners, or advertisers), nor do we use it for purposes unrelated to providing the service. Where is my data stored? Is it secure?

Your data is stored in a secure, standards-compliant server environment located within mainland China. We employ technical and administrative measures, including data encryption and access controls, to guard against unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss.

Will enterprise users' data be used for model training?

A core commitment of Kimi Business (the enterprise plan) is that enterprise data does not enter the model training pipeline, and personal and enterprise workspaces are fully isolated.
