Presets are Kimi's quick-prompt feature, letting you save frequently used prompts and invoke them with a single click in any session — no more repetitive typing.

When should you use presets?

  • Recurring formatted tasks: E.g., you always need Kimi to output meeting notes, weekly reports, or emails in a specific template
  • Reusable high-quality prompts: Save well-tuned prompts for consistent, repeatable results
  • Common instruction shortcuts: Everyday commands like "Summarize this article," "Translate to English," or "Organize in a table"

How to add a preset?

  1. Open kimi.com or the Kimi app
  2. Click the "+" button to the left of the chat input box, or locate the Presets entry point
  3. Click "Add Preset"
  4. Enter a title (for easy identification) and the content (the full prompt text)
  5. Save
