What’s the difference between Kimi, Kimi Work, Kimi Code, and Kimi Claw? Which one should I use?
Kimi includes a ready-to-use online assistant, as well as several products designed for different users and scenarios. They share Kimi’s core capabilities; the main differences are where you use them, who they are for, and what they do best.

Which one should I use?
- For everyday chat, writing, search, or asking Kimi to build websites, create PPTs and sheets, or perform Deep Research → use Kimi (web / App).
- If you need Kimi to read and write local files on your computer, automate across multiple desktop apps, or run long tasks → use Kimi Work (desktop).
- If you’re a developer and mainly need help writing code or maintaining projects → use Kimi Code.
- If you want an always-on cloud bot that runs automatically and can connect to Feishu / WeChat and other platforms → use Kimi Claw.
Kimi’s online experience already brings “chat” and “Agent” together—you don’t need to switch between them. In the Kimi Work desktop app, there are two modes: “Work” (an Agent mode focused on deliverables) and “Chat” (快速 conversations).
Which membership should I choose?
Membership benefits are tied to your Kimi account. Kimi Code uses a separate credit pool, while other membership features (chat, Agent, Deep Research, and more) share the same credit pool. For plan details and pricing, see the membership subscription page.
If your usage is mainly everyday work + occasional tasks, a suitable Kimi membership plan will cover most scenarios across web / App / Kimi Work. Developers who write code frequently may also want to pay special attention to Kimi Code benefits.
