Kimi Code Community Guidelines
Kimi Code is dedicated to providing intelligent, high-performance AI coding services to users worldwide — through continuous model improvements, relentless pursuit of Agent capabilities, and a flexible Token Plan. Our goal is to shorten the distance between imagination and reality, and make AI agents accessible to everyone. To ensure every Kimi Code user has a better experience, we put forward the following guidelines.
Scope of Use
Kimi Code subscriptions are intended for use through coding tools (Kimi CLI, VS Code, Claude Code, OpenCode, OpenClaw, etc.). Building open-source tools or frameworks that need Kimi Code? Reach out at [email protected]. For enterprise integrations, commercial services, or other platform-related inquiries, visit the Kimi Platform to explore partnership options.
✧ Usage Guidelines We Need to Highlight
To ensure everyone can continue to access stable model services, there are some usage guidelines you need to follow.
Don't resell your account or API access
Your account is a direct connection between you and Kimi Code. Transferring it to others also puts your own data and usage history at risk.
Don't resell Kimi Code's capabilities as a service
Using Kimi Code to support your own work is completely fine. Repackaging it as a product to sell to others bypasses our pricing and service structure — and isn't fair to users who play by the rules.
Don't spoof or alter client identity information
We rely on this information to maintain service quality and security. Impersonating or masking your client identity can make your requests behave unpredictably from the platform's perspective.
Don't use Kimi Code outputs to train other models
Using our outputs for model distillation goes beyond normal use and affects our ability to keep delivering a high-quality service for everyone.
If your usage doesn't align with the guidelines above, we'll review the situation first and take appropriate action—such as suspending access—based on the severity. Accordingly, if you purchase through unauthorized channels (such as resold accounts or third-party sellers), your account may be suspended upon verification, and we will not be liable for any losses.
Think we got it wrong?
If your account has been mistakenly suspended, please contact our support email at [email protected]. To help us resolve your issue efficiently, please include your account ID, the time of suspension, a description of your use case, and any relevant screenshots.
♡ How We Love to See Kimi Code Used
Kimi Code welcomes every builder who believes code can change the world — whether you're an indie developer, an open source contributor, or someone just getting started turning their first idea into a product. We especially encourage sustained, focused use. For users who maintain longer sessions and make good use of conversation history, the platform dynamically optimizes how your quota is consumed, meaning the same workload uses less of it.

FAQ
Q1: I'm a heavy user with high daily usage. Will I get flagged by mistake?
No. Our risk detection considers a wide range of signals. Users with normal patterns across IP address, conversation behavior, and usage metrics are not typically flagged, regardless of volume.
Q2: Will using a VPN or corporate proxy get me suspended?
Accessing Kimi through a forward proxy (like a VPN or company network) is fine. Sharing your account with others through a reverse proxy is a violation.
Q3: I use Kimi Code across multiple devices and tools at the same time. Will that get me suspended?
No. Switching between devices (e.g., work laptop, personal machine) or different coding tools (Kimi CLI, VS Code, Claude Code) is a completely normal usage pattern. You won't be mistakenly flagged as long as you don't deliberately spoof or alter your client identity.
