Not responding or slow?
If Kimi Claw isn't replying or is unusually slow, there are several possible causes. Follow the troubleshooting path below.
Common causes
| Cause | Description |
|---|---|
| Bridge disconnect | The connection between Kimi Claw and the server has dropped; the gateway needs a restart |
| Resource busy | Server load is high; responses may be delayed |
| Instance offline | The Kimi Claw instance has gone offline and needs to be repaired |
How to fix?
Work through these steps in order until the issue is resolved:
- Send another message — Sometimes it's just a momentary delay; a follow-up message can trigger a response
- Refresh the page — Close and reopen the Kimi Claw conversation
- Restart the gateway — Go to Settings and click Restart Kimi Claw. Wait for it to come back online
- Auto-repair — In Settings, click Repair Kimi Claw. The system will detect and fix configuration issues automatically
- Restore initial settings — If nothing else works, select Restore Initial Settings in Settings
About restoring initial settings
This resets Kimi Claw to its factory state, but:
- Preserved: Workspace files and long-term Memory
- Needs reconfiguration: Chat platform connections (Telegram, etc.) must be set up again
