Payment issues
Running into trouble with billing? Here are the most common scenarios and how to resolve them.
Signed up but not a member?
If you completed the checkout flow but your membership hasn't activated:
| Issue | Solution |
|---|---|
| Authorization ≠ charge | Some payment methods require a separate authorization step. Check your bank or card statement to confirm the charge actually posted |
| Processing delay | Payments can take a few minutes to clear. Refresh the page after a short wait |
| Wrong account | Make sure you're signed into the same Kimi account you used at checkout |
If the charge has posted but your membership still isn't active, email [email protected] with your payment receipt.
Payment failed?
Common causes and fixes:
| Cause | Fix |
|---|---|
| Insufficient funds | Ensure your account or card has enough balance |
| Card limit | Your bank may enforce per-transaction or daily limits. Contact your bank or try a different payment method |
| Network issue | Check your internet connection and retry |
| Payment provider maintenance | Occasionally a provider is temporarily unavailable. Try again later |
| Fraud protection | Your bank may block the transaction for security reasons. Contact them to authorize the charge |
If the problem persists, email [email protected] with a screenshot of the error.
Unexpected charges?
If you see an unrecognized charge from Kimi:
- Check your subscription — Sign in to Kimi and review your active subscriptions. You may have an auto-renewing plan you forgot about
- Trial conversion — If you started a free trial and didn't cancel before it ended, the system automatically converts it to a paid subscription
- Review payment authorizations — Check your Apple ID, Google Play, or card settings for recurring Kimi charges
- Cancel if needed — See Cancel Subscription to stop future charges
If you believe the charge is unauthorized, email [email protected] immediately and we'll investigate.
